Ziggurat Masterclass with Åsa Soderman - May 16-19, 2023

We will cast on right away and over two days we will learn and refine techniques that go into the making of a favorite sweater. The focus will be on personalizing your sweater for a good, comfortable, and wearable fit. We will learn or refine techniques for adding the just-so details – a pocket, a seamless lined hem, a gather, a neat pick-up, a fine neckline, a sleek button-band.

Everyone will work at their own pace and have plenty of opportunities for asking questions and receiving guidance. Take part in some or all of optional techniques sessions or keep your head down and knit away on your chosen Ziggurat.

You will walk away with the skills and techniques you need to navigate any Ziggurat patter along with techniques for customizing other top-down (and some bottom-up) sweaters.

We decode the handy Helpful Table – and you may learn how to think differently about how to choose the correct sweater size.

Åsa will guide you through each step and technique, and you are invited to ask as many questions as many times over as you wish or need.

This workshop is aimed at knitters who have knitted one or two Ziggurats and want to raise their skills to a “masters” level. There is an immersion workshop earlier in the week.
