Cross Country Knitting Kit

I designed and knit this cowl during a 4-week cross country road trip with my husband and 2 dogs in our Subaru. I was inspired by the colors and textures of the mountains against the December sky.

This cowl is knit as a tube on circular needles using a provisional cast-on and is grafted together to form a twisted tube with the Kitchner stitch for garter stitch.

The pattern calls for 2 sks of the main color and 1 skein of each contrast color - so 4 sks in total. The sample cowl is knit with main color (Striper x2sks), Contrast (Gentoo x1sk) and contrast 2 (Scots Thistle x1sk)
